Vaishno Devi Yatra from Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh has a strong tradition of Devi worship, from Maa Bamleshwari at Dongargarh to Maa Mahamaya at Ratanpur, and many families also make the journey to Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu. From Raipur, the trip is long, so a good plan makes all the difference.
By rail, you can head toward Delhi and continue to Jammu Tawi or Katra, or catch a long-distance train that runs north. Allow well over a day each way. By air, flights from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur usually connect to Jammu via Delhi, and the full trip fits into three days.

- Day 1 – Arrive in KatraOur car picks you up at the station and takes you to your Katra hotel. Get your RFID card and rest.
- Day 2 – Darshan DayClimb via Banganga, Charan Paduka and Ardhkuwari, or take a pony, palki or the helicopter. After darshan, visit Bhairon Nath if you can and return to Katra.
