One Way Up
Bharmour → Gaurikund
A plain breakdown of what the Bharmour to Gaurikund helicopter costs, what the ticket covers, and how it compares with trekking or using a pony, so you can budget your yatra with confidence.
From ₹4,900 per person, one way
Overview
The helicopter flies between the Bharmour helipad and Gaurikund, the point closest to Manimahesh lake. A one-way seat in either direction costs ₹4,900 per person, and a return costs ₹7,800 per person, which is cheaper than buying two single tickets.
These fares are per seat and cover only the flight. The trip from Pathankot or Chamba to Bharmour, hotels, meals and any pony charges are separate. The last published season listed the fares as all-inclusive for the flight itself, with the service run by UTair India under the approval of the yatra authorities. Operators and fares can change from year to year.
Fares are fixed for the season once announced, but seats are limited. On the main snan days, the cheapest option is simply the one you can still get, so plan early. Our helicopter booking guide explains how to secure a seat.
If budget matters more than time, the trek from Hadsar costs nothing beyond food and stay, but it is roughly 13 km uphill and usually takes one to two days each way.
Elders and families with children usually get the most from the return ticket. Fit pilgrims often fly up for ₹4,900 and trek down, which is easier on the lungs than climbing. If you need hotels and transport as well, a Manimahesh tour package can work out simpler.
