Booking a Helicopter for the Manimahesh Yatra
Manimahesh Kailash lake lies high in the Pir Panjal range in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh. Most pilgrims trek about 13 km uphill from Hadsar, a hard walk at high altitude. During the yatra season a helicopter service flies from the Bharmour helipad to Gaurikund, leaving only a short walk of around 1 km to the lake.
The service runs only for the yatra window, usually between Janmashtami and Radha Ashtami in August and September. Exact dates, slots and fares are announced each year by the local authorities, so we confirm them with you before we take any payment.
Seats are few and demand peaks on the main snan days. Families who plan early have the best chance. Share your preferred dates with us as soon as you decide, and we will guide you through the booking as soon as the season opens.
