A Long Journey North, an Easy Darshan
Goa is among the farthest places from Katra, which is why families from Panaji, Margao, Vasco and Mapusa almost always fly. With the helicopter booked too, the long journey does not end in a tiring climb; a short flight from Katra takes you most of the way to the Bhawan.
Goa has two airports, Dabolim in the south and Manohar International at Mopa in the north. Flights to Jammu usually connect through Delhi or Mumbai. We pick the airport and connection that suit your home and your group.
Our driver meets you at Jammu Airport and drives about 50 km to Katra. The next day you fly to Sanjichhat, walk or ride around 3 km to the Bhawan, and return by helicopter the same day.

Packing for the Hills from Goa
Katra and the Bhawan are much colder than the coast, especially from November to February. Pack a proper jacket, a cap, socks and closed shoes. Even in summer, early mornings at the Bhawan can feel chilly to someone used to Goa.
