From the Pink City to the Holy Cave
For many families in Jaipur, the Vaishno Devi yatra is a tradition kept every few years. What has changed is the way they reach the Bhawan. Instead of walking 12–13 km uphill, a 6-minute helicopter flight from Katra to Sanjichhat now does most of the work.
The train is a popular choice from Jaipur. Services run towards Jammu and the Katra side, and an overnight journey usually brings you close to the hills by the next day. Flights from Jaipur International Airport to Jammu also operate, normally with a stop in Delhi, if you want to save time.
Whichever way you come, our driver collects you at Katra station or Jammu Airport. The hotel in Katra includes breakfast, and the helicopter seats come with same-day return so you are back in time for dinner.

Best Time to Travel from Jaipur
Spring and autumn are pleasant in Katra. Summer holidays and Navratri bring the biggest crowds, so book the helicopter the moment dates open on the 1st of the month. In winter, pack proper woollens; the hills are much colder than Rajasthan.
