Overview
Helicopter Darshan, a Cave Shrine and a Hill-Station Night
This is the fast-track version of the classic three-place tour. Instead of a long climb, you take the helicopter from Katra to Sanjichhat, a flight of about 6 minutes, and then cover the last 3 km or so to the Bhawan. That leaves more energy for Shiv Khori and for enjoying the hills afterwards.
Your price depends on two choices: the hotel level and how many of you are travelling. Standard suits budget-minded families, Luxurious gives you upgraded rooms in Katra and Patnitop, and High Luxurious puts you in the top properties we work with. Larger groups share the car cost, so the per-person rate drops.
Unlike our road tour, this plan includes a night in Patnitop, so you wake up in the hills, have a slow morning and only then head back to Jammu.
Helicopter seats open on the 1st of every month and go quickly in peak season. Book early so we can lock in your flight dates before arranging the rest.

5-Day Helicopter Itinerary
Darshan on day two, the cave on day three, and a night in the hills before you head home.
- Day 1 · Arrive in Jammu, drive to KatraPick-up from Jammu airport or railway station and a drive of about 2 hours to Katra. Check in and collect your Yatra RFID card.
- Day 2 · Helicopter to SanjichhatReport early at the Katra helipad and fly to Sanjichhat. Continue about 3 km to the Bhawan for darshan. Fly back the same day if your return seat allows, or walk down to Katra. Night in Katra.
- Day 3 · Shiv KhoriDrive to Ransoo, the base for Shiv Khori, and walk to the cave for darshan of the natural Shiva lingam. Return to Katra for the night.
- Day 4 · Patnitop and SanasarCheck out and drive up to Patnitop. In the afternoon visit Sanasar, a bowl-shaped meadow ringed by conifers. Night in Patnitop.
- Day 5 · Patnitop to JammuEnjoy a slow morning walk in the forests, then drive down to Jammu for your onward train or flight.

What does this tour cost per person?
It depends on hotel level and group size. Standard hotels start at ₹7,700 per person for a group of 8 and ₹11,200 per person for a couple.
Is the helicopter guaranteed?
No one can guarantee seats, because they are released by the operators in limited numbers. We apply as early as possible and offer a pony or palki alternative if flights are full.
Why are couples charged more?
The car and some fixed costs are shared by fewer people, so the per-person rate is higher for 2 than for 6 or 8.
Where do we stay on the Patnitop night?
At a hotel in Patnitop matching the level you chose. We share hotel details with your confirmation.
Can we add an extra day in Patnitop?
Yes. Tell us while booking and we will extend the stay and adjust the price.
Is there a shorter helicopter option?
Yes. The 3N/4D helicopter package covers Vaishno Devi and Shiv Khori without the Patnitop night.
