Darshan, Rest and a Day in Jammu
Jammu is called the city of temples, yet most pilgrims only pass through it on the way to Katra. This four-day plan changes that. After your darshan at Mata's Bhawan, you spend a full day seeing the city with a private car and driver, then head home rested.
Day 2 belongs to the yatra. Walk the path from Banganga via Charan Paduka and Ardhkuwari, or use a pony, palki or battery car on parts of the route. Those on the helicopter version fly from Katra to Sanjichhat and walk the last 3 km or so.
On Day 3, the car takes you to Jammu's best-known sights, such as the Raghunath temple complex, Bahu Fort and the old Mubarak Mandi palace area. The day is flexible, so you can spend longer at temples and skip the rest, or add a stop for shopping.
Want a Different Third Day?
Some families prefer a holy cave or the hills instead of the city. In that case, look at the Shiv Khori package or the Patnitop package, which also run for about four days.

3 Night 4 Days Itinerary
- Day 1 – Arrive in KatraPick-up from Jammu Airport, Jammu station or Katra railway station. Check in, rest, and spend the evening in the Katra market. Dinner and overnight in Katra.
- Day 2 – Darshan at the BhawanEarly start from Banganga on foot, by pony or palki, or by helicopter to Sanjichhat on the helicopter plan. Darshan at the holy cave, optional ropeway to Bhairon Nath temple, then back to Katra for dinner and overnight.
- Day 3 – Jammu sightseeingAfter breakfast, drive to Jammu for a full day of sightseeing, such as the Raghunath temple, Bahu Fort and Mubarak Mandi. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.
- Day 4 – DepartureBreakfast, check out and drop at Jammu Airport, Jammu station or Katra railway station.
