For many Lucknow families, the Vaishno Devi yatra is a tradition passed down from parents and grandparents. What has changed is how easy it can be. With a helicopter seat, the long walk up the hill becomes a six-minute flight, leaving more energy for the darshan itself.
Lucknow has two practical ways to reach Jammu. Flights usually connect through Delhi and get you to Jammu within the day. Trains towards Jammu Tawi take roughly a day, and many UP families still prefer them for the comfort of travelling together with plenty of luggage and home-cooked food.
Whichever you choose, our AC car meets you at Jammu Airport, Jammu Tawi or Katra station and takes you to your hotel in Katra. On darshan day, you fly to Sanjichhat, walk or ride about 3 km to the Bhawan, and come back the same day by helicopter.
Because Lucknow is closer to Jammu than most cities we serve, the train plan is a good-value choice. If your parents find the train tiring, the flight plan saves a full day each way.

If you take the train, you join this plan on arrival at Jammu Tawi or Katra, with two nights in Katra.
- Day 1 · Lucknow to Jammu, on to KatraFly from Lucknow to Jammu. Our driver meets you at the airport and drives about 50 km to Katra. Check in and get your Yatra RFID cards made with our team's help.
- Day 2 · Darshan by helicopterAfter breakfast, the car takes you to the Katra helipad. Report at Counter No. 3, fly to Sanjichhat and continue about 3 km to the Bhawan. After darshan, fly back to Katra the same day.
- Day 3 · Rest or Bhairon NathTake it easy after the yatra. Visit Bhairon Nath if you wish (ropeway extra), or spend the day in Katra market picking up prasad and dry fruits.
- Day 4 · Jammu temples, fly homeCheck out, visit the Raghunath Temple in Jammu and get dropped at Jammu Airport for your flight back to Lucknow.
