What Is the Vaishno Devi Battery Car?
The battery car is a small electric vehicle that runs on the newer track from Ardhkuwari towards the Bhawan. It is meant to help pilgrims who find the full walk hard, such as senior citizens, people with health conditions and families with small children.
The full trek from Katra to the Bhawan is about 12–13 km. Most people walk or ride a pony up to Ardhkuwari, the halfway cave shrine, and then use the battery car for the next stretch. It is quieter and smoother than the crowded main path and saves a good amount of energy.
Seats are booked in advance, and the number of seats each day is limited. On busy dates they run out quickly. Our team helps with the booking, keeps an eye on the opening window and builds your hotel and car plan around the battery car time.
If you want to skip almost all of the climb, compare the helicopter ticket price: the helicopter lands at Sanjichhat, about 3 km from the Bhawan.

The helicopter saves the most time and effort, but seats are scarce and flights depend on the weather. The battery car is a good backup, or a good choice if you are happy to walk or ride the first half. Some families book both, so one covers them if the other falls through.
