Ahmedabad to Mata’s Darbar, Without the Climb
Ahmedabad is a long way from the Trikuta hills, and that is exactly why so many families from the city choose the helicopter. After a full day of travel, nobody wants to face a 12–13 km uphill walk. With this package, the hard part of the yatra is replaced by a short flight from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat.
The most comfortable route is to fly from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Jammu. Depending on the day, flights are direct or connect through Delhi. Our driver waits at Jammu Airport and takes you about 50 km to Katra, where your hotel is ready.
If your family prefers the train, Ahmedabad has long-distance services towards Jammu Tawi and the Katra side. The journey usually takes well over a day, so we add a rest night before the darshan day. Either way, the helicopter, hotel and car are planned around your arrival.

Ahmedabad Helicopter Yatra: 3 Nights / 4 Days
This is the by-flight plan. Train travellers follow the same days in Jammu and Kashmir.
- Day 1 · Ahmedabad to Jammu, drive to KatraTake your flight from Ahmedabad to Jammu. Our driver meets you at the arrival gate and drives you to Katra, around two hours away. Check in, collect the Yatra RFID cards and have an early night.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanReport at Counter No. 3 at the Katra helipad. A flight of about 6 minutes lands you at Sanjichhat; from there the Bhawan is about 3 km on foot or by pony. After darshan, fly back to Katra and rest at the hotel.
- Day 3 · A free day in KatraSleep in, visit the Katra market for prasad and dry fruits, or go to Bhairon Nath if you did not manage it on darshan day. Families with young children often keep this as a buffer day in case weather delays the flight.
- Day 4 · Jammu temples and flight homeCheck out after breakfast. On the way to the airport, stop at the Raghunath Temple and Bagh-e-Bahu in Jammu, then board your flight back to Ahmedabad.
