Overview
A Complete Yatra to Manimahesh Kailash
Manimahesh lake sits below the Manimahesh Kailash peak in Chamba district, Himachal Pradesh, and is one of the holiest places for devotees of Lord Shiva in the western Himalaya. Thousands come during the yatra season, usually between Janmashtami and Radha Ashtami, for a holy dip in the icy lake.
Getting there involves several legs: train or flight to Pathankot or Gaggal, a long road through Chamba to Bharmour, and then either the helicopter to Gaurikund or a trek of around 13 km from Hadsar. This package takes care of the ground part so you can focus on the yatra.
On the way you visit Bharmour's Chaurasi temple complex, a cluster of ancient stone shrines including the temple of Dharamraj, and you get time in Chamba town itself before heading home. Pilgrims who wish can also walk up to Bharmani Mata temple above Bharmour.

- Day 2 · Bharmour and Manimahesh lakeEarly start for Bharmour. Visit the Chaurasi temple complex, then fly from the Bharmour helipad to Gaurikund. Walk about 1 km to Manimahesh lake for darshan and the holy dip, fly back to Bharmour and drive down to Chamba.
- Day 3 · Chamba and departureMorning visit to Chamba's old temples and the town centre, then drive back to Pathankot or Gaggal for your onward journey.
