Hyderabad to Katra in a Day
Hyderabad is well connected by air, which makes it one of the easier southern cities to start a Vaishno Devi yatra from. Flights from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport reach Jammu either directly on some days or with a connection through Delhi, and you can be in Katra the same evening.
From there, the helicopter does the rest. A flight of about 6 minutes from the Katra helipad lands at Sanjichhat, about 3 km from the Bhawan. Walk, take a pony, or ask us about a palki for elders, then fly back to Katra the same day.
Hyderabad families who have travelled a long way often like to see a little more of Jammu and Kashmir. Patnitop, a pine-forest hill station a few hours from Katra, is an easy and restful add-on.
