A Pilgrimage with a Patriotic Evening
This tour is built around one unforgettable evening. After two nights in Katra and darshan at the Bhawan, you drive down to Punjab and arrive at the Attari–Wagah border in time for the Beating Retreat, where soldiers of India and Pakistan lower their flags in a crisp, high-energy ceremony. Families tell us it is the moment the children talk about most.
The first half of the trip is all about Mata. You stay in Katra, collect your Yatra RFID card, and climb the 12–13 km path from Banganga, or hire a pony or palki. If you would rather fly, helicopter seats from Katra to Sanjichhat can be added when available.
The drive from Katra to Amritsar is roughly 250 km and usually takes 4–5 hours. On the final morning you visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Durgiana Temple before your drop at Amritsar station or airport, so there is no need to return to Jammu.
Why the Price Depends on Group Size

3 Night 4 Days Itinerary
- Day 1 – Jammu to KatraPick-up at Jammu Airport or station and drive about 50 km to Katra (roughly 1.5–2 hours). Check in, collect your Yatra RFID card and rest. Overnight in Katra.
- Day 2 – Vaishno Devi darshanDrop at Banganga for the climb to the holy Bhawan via Charan Paduka and Ardhkuwari, or use a pony, palki or helicopter if booked. Optional visit to Bhairon Nath temple by ropeway. Return to Katra for the night.
- Day 3 – Katra to Amritsar and WagahAfter breakfast, drive about 250 km to Amritsar. Check in, then head to the Attari–Wagah border for the evening Beating Retreat. Dinner and overnight in Amritsar.
- Day 4 – Golden Temple and departureEarly visit to the Golden Temple, then Jallianwala Bagh and Durgiana Temple. Drop at Amritsar railway station or airport.

How far is Wagah Border from Amritsar?
About 30 km, roughly 45 minutes to an hour by car. Our driver takes you there and back on Day 3.
What time is the Wagah Border ceremony?
It is held every evening before sunset, so timings shift through the year. We plan the drive from Katra so you arrive in good time.
What is the price for 2 people?
For a couple, the tour costs from ₹10,400 per person with Semi-Deluxe hotels. Larger groups pay less per person.
Is the helicopter included?
Not in this road package. We can add helicopter seats if available, or you can book our helicopter version.
Can we fly home from Amritsar?
Yes. The tour ends in Amritsar, which has an airport and a major railway station.
