The Golden Temple and Mata's Darbar Together
Amritsar and Katra make a natural pair. Many pilgrims already pass through Punjab on the way to Jammu, and adding a day in Amritsar lets you visit Sri Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple, along with Jallianwala Bagh and the Beating Retreat ceremony at Wagah Border.
The trip starts in Amritsar, which is well connected by air and rail. After a night there, our AC car drives you to Katra; the road journey is long, roughly 6 to 7 hours depending on traffic and stops, so we start early and break the drive for meals.
In Katra, the helicopter takes you from the helipad to Sanjichhat in about six minutes. From there it is about 3 km to the Bhawan on foot or by pony, and you fly back the same day. The last morning, we drop you at Jammu or back in Amritsar, whichever suits your onward travel.
You can pick from three hotel categories. The darshan plan is the same for all three; only the comfort level of your hotels changes.

- Day 1 · Arrive in AmritsarOur driver meets you at Amritsar airport or railway station. Check in, then visit the Golden Temple and nearby Jallianwala Bagh. In the afternoon, drive to Wagah Border for the Beating Retreat ceremony, then return for the night in Amritsar.
- Day 2 · Amritsar to KatraAfter breakfast, set out on the long drive to Katra, roughly 6–7 hours with stops. Check in at your Katra hotel and complete Yatra RFID registration.
- Day 3 · Helicopter darshanReport at Counter No. 3 at the Katra helipad. Fly to Sanjichhat, continue about 3 km to the Bhawan on foot or by pony, and fly back to Katra after darshan.
- Day 4 · DepartureCheck out after breakfast and get dropped at Jammu Airport or railway station, or driven back to Amritsar, for your journey home.
