Overview
Nagpur to Mata Vaishno Devi, Planned End to End
Nagpur sits right at the centre of India, on one of the main rail routes heading north. That makes the city well placed for a Vaishno Devi yatra by train, and flights to Jammu, usually connecting through Delhi, are an option when time is short.
Our Nagpur package covers everything after you leave home. We book your train or flight, meet you at Jammu or Katra, put you up in a Katra hotel with breakfast, and arrange your helicopter seats from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat for a same-day return darshan.
The helicopter ride takes about six minutes. From Sanjichhat it is about 3 km to the Bhawan, roughly 45 minutes on foot, with ponies available. For families with elders, this removes most of the strain of the 12–13 km trek from Katra.
Vidarbha summers are fierce, and many Nagpur families plan the yatra in May and June to enjoy the cooler hill air. Those are peak weeks at Katra, so early booking is important.

- Day 1 · Nagpur to Jammu, drive to KatraFly from Nagpur to Jammu. Our driver meets you at the airport for the drive of about 50 km to Katra. Check in and complete Yatra RFID registration.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanReport at Counter No. 3 at the Katra helipad after breakfast. Fly to Sanjichhat, walk or ride about 3 km to the Bhawan, have darshan and fly back the same day.
