Why Most Families Choose 2 Nights
Long journeys to Jammu are tiring, especially for elders. The Relaxed Yatra gives you an arrival day to rest, see a little of Jammu on the way, and collect your Yatra RFID card. The next day belongs entirely to darshan, with no train or flight to catch.
On darshan day you fly from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat in about six minutes. From there the Bhawan is roughly 3 km away; most people walk it in around 45 minutes, and ponies are available. After darshan you fly back to Katra and return to the same hotel, with no packing in between.
Your stay is in a Katra hotel such as Lemon Tree or The White Katra, or similar, with breakfast every morning. A private AC car handles every transfer, from Jammu Airport or Katra railway station and back.
With the extra time, many pilgrims also go up to Bhairon Nath temple by ropeway after darshan. If you want to add a famous cave shrine, look at the Yatra + Shiv Khori plan.
A Buffer for Weather
Mountain weather can delay helicopter flights by 15–30 minutes, and sometimes longer. Keeping darshan away from your travel days means a delay does not put your train or flight at risk.

An easy pace, with darshan on the middle day.
- Day 1 · Jammu to KatraOur driver meets you at Jammu Airport or Katra railway station. On the way, see a few of Jammu's well-known temples, then check in at your Katra hotel. Collect your Yatra RFID card and have an early night.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanAfter breakfast, drive to the Katra helipad and report at Counter No. 3. Fly to Sanjichhat, deposit bags at Counter No. 4 and walk or ride about 3 km to the Bhawan. After darshan, visit Bhairon Nath by ropeway if time allows, then fly back to Katra before the helipad closes at 5 pm. Night at the same hotel.

It is the plan we suggest most for elders. They get a rest day before darshan, and the helicopter replaces most of the 12–13 km trek.
What if my helicopter is delayed or cancelled?
Short delays are common in mountain weather. If a flight is cancelled, our team helps you continue by pony, palki or battery car. Ticket refunds follow the operator's rules.
Are meals included?
Breakfast is included every morning. Lunch and dinner are not, so you can eat where you like in Katra and on the Bhawan route.
