Overview
What Flying with Global Vectra Is Like
Global Vectra is one of the helicopter operators named for the Vaishno Devi route. Its helicopters carry small groups of pilgrims between the Katra helipad and Sanjichhat, saving most of the 12–13 km climb to the Bhawan.
The experience is short and simple. You check in at Counter No. 3 at Katra with your printed ticket and payment card, wait for your group to be called, and board for a flight of about six minutes over the Trikuta hills. The views of Katra and the valley below are a highlight, especially for first-time flyers.
At Sanjichhat, phones and bags go to Counter No. 4, and same-day return passengers use Gate No. 5 for darshan. The Bhawan is about 3 km away. The flight back takes around four minutes, and the Sanjichhat helipad closes at 5 pm.
