Planning Vaishno Devi from Bhopal
Bhopal sits right in the middle of India, which works in your favour: long-distance trains heading north towards Delhi and Jammu pass through the city regularly. That makes the train the natural first choice for Bhopal families who want an affordable, relaxed yatra.
The journey to Jammu Tawi or Katra is long, usually most of a day and a night, so we keep two full nights in Katra. One day is for the trek, the other is for rest and an unhurried visit to the Katra market, so nobody comes home exhausted.
For families who cannot take a full week off, the flight plan covers the yatra in three days, including the helicopter from Katra to Sanjichhat.
