Kolkata to Mata Vaishno Devi, the Comfortable Way
Jammu is a long way from Kolkata, and for many Bengali families the journey itself has always been the hardest part of the yatra. Our Kolkata helicopter package takes that weight off your shoulders: you fly to Jammu, our car is waiting at the airport, and the helicopter does most of the climbing for you.
Flights from Kolkata to Jammu run either direct on some days or with a stop, usually in Delhi, so total travel time varies. We pick timings that let you reach Katra, about 50 km from Jammu Airport, the same evening and still get a proper night's sleep before darshan day.
On the darshan day you fly from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat in around six minutes, walk or ride about 3 km to the Bhawan, and fly back the same afternoon. It is a gentle plan for grandparents, for anyone with knee trouble and for families travelling with young children.
Many families from Kolkata travel in the Durga Puja and Diwali holidays or in the winter break. These are busy weeks at Katra too, so send us your dates early and we will try for helicopter seats as soon as the monthly window opens.

- Day 1 · Kolkata to Jammu, drive to KatraFly from Kolkata to Jammu. Our driver meets you outside the airport and drives you about 50 km to Katra. Check in, collect the Yatra RFID cards and have an early dinner.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanHead to the Katra helipad after breakfast and report at Counter No. 3. A short flight lands at Sanjichhat; from there the Bhawan is about 3 km on foot or by pony. After darshan, fly back and rest at your hotel.
- Day 3 · Rest and Bhairon NathA slow morning after the yatra. Those who wish can visit Bhairon Nath with our team's help (ropeway extra); others can shop for prasad, dry fruits and shawls in the Katra market.
- Day 4 · Jammu temples and flight homeCheck out and drive to Jammu. Visit the Raghunath Temple and, time permitting, Kand Kandoli Temple, then get dropped at Jammu Airport for your flight back to Kolkata.
