Bangalore to Vaishno Devi in a Long Weekend
Many of our Bangalore guests are working couples and young families who can spare three days, not a week. Our flight plan is built for them: fly to Jammu on a Friday morning, darshan on Saturday with the helicopter, and be home in Bengaluru on Sunday night.
Flights from Bangalore to Jammu may be direct on some days or connect via Delhi, depending on the season. Our driver meets you at Jammu Airport, and two nights in Katra give you time to rest after the darshan day.
If you are travelling with parents who prefer trains, there are long-distance options towards Jammu and Katra. The journey is usually more than two days each way, so the train plan takes about a week in all.
Make It a Bigger Trip

- Saturday · Darshan dayMorning helicopter from Katra to Sanjichhat, a walk of about 3 km to the Bhawan, darshan, and the ropeway to Bhairon Nath temple. Fly back to Katra in the afternoon. Without the helicopter, trek from Banganga on foot, by pony or by palki.
- Sunday · Back to BengaluruBreakfast, shopping for prasad, dry fruits and Kashmiri shawls, and the drive to Jammu Airport for your flight home.
