Overview
From Mata's Darbar to the Kashmir Valley
For many families, a trip to Jammu is the right time to see Kashmir as well. This plan keeps the yatra at the centre, with two nights in Katra and a helicopter darshan, and then adds three nights in the valley so the whole family gets a proper holiday.
On darshan day you fly from Katra to Sanjichhat, cover about 3 km to the Bhawan on foot or by pony, and fly back the same day. The next morning your AC car sets off on the long, beautiful drive to Srinagar.
In Kashmir there is time for a shikara ride on Dal Lake, the Mughal gardens, and a full-day trip to a mountain meadow such as Gulmarg, Sonamarg or Pahalgam, depending on season and road conditions.

About the Katra–Srinagar Drive
The road journey takes most of a day, with tunnels, river valleys and mountain views on the way. We plan breaks for meals and rest. Weather or traffic can slow it down, so a flexible mindset helps.

Two nights for the yatra, three for the valley.
- Day 1 · Arrive in KatraPick-up at Jammu Airport or Katra railway station and drive to your Katra hotel. Collect your Yatra RFID card and rest for darshan day.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanAfter breakfast, fly from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat, walk or ride about 3 km to the Bhawan for darshan, and fly back to Katra the same day. Night in Katra.
- Day 3 · Katra to SrinagarAn early start for the scenic drive to Srinagar, with stops along the way. Check in and rest. Night in Srinagar.
- Day 4 · Srinagar sightseeingA shikara ride on Dal Lake and visits to the Mughal gardens and local markets. Night in Srinagar.

Does the trip end in Srinagar or Jammu?
By default we drop you at Srinagar Airport, which saves a long drive back. If you prefer to return from Jammu, tell us and we will adjust the plan.
Can I stay on a houseboat in Srinagar?
Yes, a houseboat night can be added at extra cost. Ask us when you book.
Is this package safe for families with elders?
The helicopter makes the yatra gentle, and the Kashmir part involves drives and short walks. We pace the days so elders get enough rest.
Which mountain place will we visit?
