A Pilgrimage That Turns Into a Mountain Holiday
Many families travel all the way to Jammu for darshan and go straight home. This tour adds a full week in the hills. After the Vaishno Devi climb you drive into Himachal Pradesh, staying in colonial-era Dalhousie, enjoying the meadow at Khajjiar, meeting Tibetan culture in McLeod Ganj and ending among the apple orchards and snow peaks of Manali.
The darshan day is done the classic way, on foot or by pony or palki from Banganga. If you would rather fly up to Sanjichhat, see the Himachal tour with helicopter.
Distances in the hills are long and roads wind a lot, so we plan one main drive per day with plenty of stops. Your car and driver stay with you from Jammu to the last day.
Choose from Semi Deluxe (about 2-star), Deluxe (about 3-star) or Premium (4 or 5-star) hotels. Prices drop per person as your group grows.

One main drive a day, with sightseeing built in along the way.
- Day 1 · Jammu to KatraPick-up from Jammu airport or railway station and drive to Katra. Check in, register for your Yatra RFID card and rest.
- Day 2 · Vaishno Devi darshanClimb from Banganga to the Bhawan on foot, by pony or by palki. Return to Katra in the evening.
- Day 3 · Katra to DalhousieA long scenic drive of around 220 km into Himachal. In the evening, stroll around Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk. Night in Dalhousie.
- Day 4 · Khajjiar excursionDay trip to Khajjiar, a wide meadow surrounded by deodar forest about 23 km away. Paragliding and horse rides are sometimes available in season. Back to Dalhousie.
- Day 5 · Dalhousie to DharamshalaDrive about 120 km to Dharamshala. Visit Bhagsu waterfall, the Tibetan monastery area of McLeod Ganj and Naddi viewpoint, then browse the Tibetan market.
- Day 6 · Dharamshala to ManaliA full-day drive of about 6 hours through the Kangra and Kullu valleys. Visit Hadimba Devi and Manu temples if time allows.
- Day 7 · Manali excursionDay trip towards Solang valley, or Rohtang Pass when it is open and permits are available. Evening on Mall Road.
- Day 8 · DepartureCheck out and drive to your onward railway station or bus point. We plan the drop with you while booking.

Can I skip Manali and make it shorter?

Is Rohtang Pass included?
We plan a Manali excursion day. Rohtang needs a permit and is often closed outside summer, so we may go to Solang valley instead. Permit and local taxi costs are extra.
Where does the tour end?
The tour ends from Manali. We help you choose the best station, bus point or airport for your onward journey.
Is this tour suitable for elderly parents?
Yes, with care. Use a pony or palki for the climb, and tell us about any health needs so we keep the drives comfortable.
