Temple, Valley and Golden Temple in One Trip
This is the tour for families who want to see the best of the north in one go, without returning to Jammu at the end. You begin with darshan at Mata Vaishno Devi, travel into the Kashmir valley for five days of lakes, gardens and mountains, and finish with the Golden Temple and Wagah Border in Amritsar before heading home.
The yatra comes first. From Katra you climb to the holy Bhawan on foot, by pony or by palki, a round trip that many complete in a single long day or overnight. The next morning the car takes you over the hills to Srinagar, where a houseboat on Dal Lake is your home for the night.
Days in Kashmir include a shikara ride and the Mughal Gardens in Srinagar, a day in the Sonamarg valley, a day in Gulmarg with its famous gondola, and a night in Pahalgam beside the Lidder river. From Pahalgam the long road to Amritsar is the toughest day of the trip, so we start early and plan good stops.

7 Night 8 Days Itinerary
- Day 1 – Jammu to Katra, begin the yatraPick-up from Jammu and drive about 50 km to Katra. Check in, then start the climb to the holy Bhawan in the afternoon or evening. Ponies are available at your own cost. Return to Katra after darshan for the night.
- Day 2 – Katra to SrinagarA scenic drive through the hills to Srinagar, usually a full day on the road. Check in to a deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake. Overnight on the houseboat.
- Day 3 – Srinagar sightseeingShikara ride on Dal Lake, then visit the Mughal Gardens and Hazratbal shrine. Overnight in Srinagar.
- Day 4 – Sonamarg day tripDrive to Sonamarg, the 'meadow of gold', with snow peaks and glacier views. Pony rides to the glacier are extra. Return to Srinagar.
- Day 5 – Gulmarg day tripDrive to Gulmarg and ride the gondola if you wish (tickets extra). Enjoy the wide meadows and return to Srinagar.
- Day 6 – Srinagar to PahalgamDrive to Pahalgam in the Lidder valley. Walk along the river and enjoy the pine forests. Overnight in Pahalgam.
- Day 7 – Pahalgam to AmritsarAn early start for the long drive of about 325 km to Amritsar, often around 9 hours or more. Check in and rest. Overnight in Amritsar.
- Day 8 – Golden Temple, Wagah and departureVisit the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. If your train or flight is late, watch the Wagah Border ceremony before your drop at Amritsar station or airport.

Is the Vaishno Devi climb on Day 1 too tiring?
It is a long day. If you prefer, we can add a night in Katra so the climb is on Day 2. Ask us for the revised price.
Is the Gulmarg gondola included?
No. Gondola tickets, ponies and local taxis are paid locally.
Can we add the helicopter for Vaishno Devi?

Why does the tour end in Amritsar?
It avoids driving back to Jammu and lets you finish with the Golden Temple. Amritsar has good train and flight links.
