One Yatra, Many Starting Points Across Rajasthan
Rajasthan families have a deep bond with Mata Rani, and group yatras from the state are a familiar sight in Katra. Because Rajasthan is so wide, we start by asking where you live. Jaipur is the easiest hub for most, but Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner and Kota families each have their own best route.
Trains run from several Rajasthan cities towards Jammu Tawi, some direct and some through Delhi, and are the most popular way for larger family groups. Flights from Jaipur, Jodhpur or Udaipur to Jammu usually connect through Delhi and save time for those who are short of leave.
Once you reach Jammu or Katra, everything is arranged: our AC car, a Katra hotel with breakfast, and helicopter seats from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat for a same-day return. From Sanjichhat it is about 3 km to the Bhawan, walkable in around 45 minutes, with ponies on hand.
Rajasthan summers are harsh, so May and June trips to the cooler hills are popular. Winter trips are just as rewarding, but come prepared for real cold, especially at Sanjichhat and the Bhawan.
Travelling as a Big Family Group

Train groups follow the same darshan day once they reach Jammu Tawi or Katra.
- Day 1 · Fly to Jammu, drive to KatraFly from your Rajasthan city to Jammu. Our driver meets you at the airport and drives about 50 km to Katra. Check in and complete Yatra RFID registration.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanReport at Counter No. 3 at the Katra helipad after breakfast. Fly to Sanjichhat, reach the Bhawan on foot or by pony, and fly back after darshan.
- Day 3 · Rest or Bhairon NathTake the day easy, or visit Bhairon Nath with our help (ropeway extra). Evening in the Katra market.
- Day 4 · Jammu temples and returnVisit the Raghunath Temple in Jammu, then get dropped at Jammu Airport for your flight home.
