Overview
A Yatra with a Hill Station Break
Patnitop is a pleasant hill station on the Jammu–Srinagar highway, known for its meadows, deodar and pine forests and cool air. After the excitement of darshan, it is the perfect place to slow down for a couple of days before heading home.
The plan opens with two nights in Katra. Day 2 is darshan day: a short helicopter hop to Sanjichhat, about 3 km to the Bhawan on foot or by pony, and the flight back the same afternoon. Then your AC car drives you up into the hills.
In Patnitop you can stroll through the forest, visit the old Nag Temple, and take a short drive to the Sanasar meadows. Children love the open spaces, and elders enjoy the fresh air without any hard climbing.

Two nights for the yatra, two nights to unwind.
- Day 1 · Arrive in KatraPick-up at Jammu Airport or Katra railway station and drive to your Katra hotel. Collect your Yatra RFID card and rest.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanAfter breakfast, fly from the Katra helipad to Sanjichhat. Walk or ride about 3 km to the Bhawan for darshan, optionally take the ropeway to Bhairon Nath, and fly back to Katra the same day. Night in Katra.
- Day 3 · Drive to PatnitopAfter breakfast, check out and drive into the hills to Patnitop. Check in, then take an easy evening walk among the pines. Night in Patnitop.
