A Time-Saving Yatra for Busy Mumbai Families
Mumbai life runs on tight schedules, and a Vaishno Devi yatra on foot can easily need a week once you add the long journey north. Our Mumbai helicopter package is built to fit into four days: fly to Jammu, sleep in Katra, take the helicopter for darshan, and fly home.
Flights between Mumbai and Jammu may run direct on some days and connect through Delhi on others, so we compare options for your dates. From Jammu Airport, our AC car covers the roughly 50 km to Katra, a drive that usually takes a couple of hours depending on traffic.
The helicopter flight from Katra to Sanjichhat takes about six minutes. From there, the Bhawan is about 3 km away on foot or by pony. With a same-day return seat, you are back at your hotel by evening, with a whole day left to rest before flying home.
Trains from Mumbai towards Jammu and Katra are an option too, though the journey usually takes a day and a half or more each way. Families with more time sometimes prefer it, and we can pair rail tickets with our land package.

- Day 1 · Mumbai to Jammu, drive to KatraTake a morning flight from Mumbai to Jammu. Our driver meets you at the airport and drives you to Katra. Check in, complete Yatra RFID registration and rest.
- Day 2 · Helicopter darshanAfter breakfast, report at Counter No. 3 at the Katra helipad. Fly to Sanjichhat, cover the 3 km to the Bhawan on foot or by pony, and return by helicopter after darshan.
- Day 3 · Free day in KatraRecover from the yatra. Visit Bhairon Nath if you like (ropeway extra), or shop for dry fruits, shawls and prasad to take back to Mumbai.
- Day 4 · Jammu and flight homeDrive to Jammu, stop at the Raghunath Temple and Kand Kandoli Temple if time permits, and catch your flight back to Mumbai.
