Delhi to Vaishno Devi by Flight
When leave is short, flying makes all the difference. Flights from Delhi to Jammu are short, and from Jammu Airport our AC car covers the roughly 50 km to Katra in about two hours. You can reach your Katra hotel by lunchtime on day one.
Our quickest plan is one night and two days: arrive, rest a little, and begin the trek in the afternoon or evening, when the path is cooler and calmer. You come down at night or early morning, have breakfast and fly back to Delhi the same day.
For a more relaxed trip, the two-night plan adds a full darshan day with the helicopter to Sanjichhat, so even elderly parents can manage the yatra comfortably. It is the same plan we offer from Ahmedabad and other cities with flights to Jammu.
Air, Road or Train?
Flying costs more than the train package or a road trip, but it saves almost a full day each way. It is ideal for working professionals, NRIs visiting Delhi, and families with elders who cannot sit in a car for twelve hours.

- Day 1 · Delhi to KatraMorning flight from Delhi to Jammu. Our driver meets you at the airport and drives you to Katra. Check in, have lunch, collect your Yatra RFID card and start the trek from Banganga by afternoon on foot, by pony or by palki. Darshan in the evening or night, then come down to the hotel.
- Day 2 · Katra to DelhiLate breakfast and rest. Shop for prasad and dry fruits in Katra, then drive back to Jammu Airport for your flight to Delhi.
- 2N/3D planIf you choose the helicopter plan, day 2 becomes your darshan day with the Katra ⇄ Sanjichhat flight, and you fly home on day 3.

Yes, if you take a morning flight and are fit enough to trek in the afternoon or evening. For elders, we suggest the 2-night plan with the helicopter.

About 50 km. The drive usually takes around 2 hours depending on traffic.
Is the helicopter included in the 1-night plan?
No, the quick plan uses the trek on foot, pony or palki. The helicopter can be added if seats are free; bookings open on the 1st of every month.
What if flight prices go up?
We confirm the fare before you pay. If your dates are expensive, we tell you the difference up front, or suggest the road package from Delhi instead.
