A one-way seat costs ₹2,320 per person in either direction between the Katra helipad and Sanjichhat. It suits pilgrims who want the helicopter for only part of the yatra and are happy to walk, ride a pony or take the battery car for the rest.

The most popular choice is to fly up and walk down. The climb from Katra is the hardest part of the 12–13 km route, while coming down is gentler and lets you stop at Ardhkuwari and enjoy the views. Others prefer to walk up as an act of devotion and fly back to rest tired legs.

One way also fits pilgrims who stay overnight near the Bhawan, visit Bhairon Nath temple by ropeway, or want an early morning darshan before flying down. If you are sure of coming back the same day by air, a same-day return at ₹4,640 keeps both flights on one booking and one return slot.

Whichever direction you pick, you still need an original photo ID and a Yatra RFID card, and seats open on the 1st of every month.

Fly Up or Fly Down?

Fly up if you have elders, small children or limited time, because you save the steep climb and reach the Bhawan fresh. Fly down if you want to walk up for devotion but avoid knee strain on the way back. Remember the Sanjichhat helipad closes at 5 pm, so leave enough time after darshan.
