Vaishno Devi Helicopter Booking Timings

Helicopters between Katra and Sanjichhat fly every day from the early morning until late afternoon, as long as the weather allows. The exact first and last flights shift with the season and daylight, so always check the time printed on your ticket and ask us for the current schedule.

Plan to reach the Katra helipad well before your slot. You report at Counter No. 3 with your printed ticket, original photo ID, Yatra RFID card and payment card, and go through a security check before boarding. Arriving late can mean losing your seat.

After the six-minute flight, keep phones and bags at Counter No. 4 in Sanjichhat and walk about 3 km to the Bhawan, roughly 45 minutes each way. Add time for the darshan queue, which can be long on busy days. Same-day return passengers use Gate No. 5.

The Sanjichhat helipad closes at 5 pm. If you are flying back the same day, choose an outbound slot that leaves you several hours for the walk, darshan and return. Check fares on the ticket price page.

Which Slot Should You Choose?

Morning flights up give the most time and the clearest skies, which is why they go first. Mid-day slots are easier to get and fine if you are staying the night or flying only one way. Avoid a late flight up if you also need to fly back the same day.
